And just like that, our very first HYPOXI 8-Week Transformation has been and gone, leaving a trail of trim and toned bodies in its wake. We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and commitment each of our amazing participants put in, and we hope you’re enjoying your hard-earned results.
While we wish we could award you all the prizes, there can only be one winner. So we’re thrilled to introduce you to KYRA from HYPOXI Sandringham who was crowned our inaugural HYPOXI 8 Week Transformation winner who lost 6.8 KG & 75.7CM in total!
Who was the most instrumental in helping keep you on track on your 8WT journey?
To be honest I would have to say ME – is that horrible!? Don’t get me wrong, I’m so appreciative of my Nan who looked after my baby whilst I ran off and did my sessions and I have the most supportive husband who didn’t bat an eyelid when I dished up yet another youfoodz or lettuce wrap. I definitely couldn’t have done it without them, but at the same time this was a personal journey and it wasn’t going to happen if I wasn’t in it to get major results for myself.
What was the biggest lesson you learned throughout the transformation?
I really learned how my body responds to certain food groups and how I feel after eating ‘bad’ foods. I also learned what my body responds best to and that exercise actually makes me feel lighter and gives me mental clarity which, really helped with the whole baby fog that you can sometimes get sucked into. So I learnedW to just get up and get moving knowing that I would feel so much better for it.
What was the biggest challenge you overcame?
Having a newborn! She’s definitely not the best little sleeper and sometimes I would rock up to Hypoxi and look a complete mess after only getting about 2 hours myself. Fabian was so lovely, she never judged and just told me it would all get better! And it did! The exercise definitely gave me a second wind and refreshed me ready to start the day with my energetic, handful of a baby!
What was your favourite recipe?
My favourite was the salmon and avocado lettuce wraps – so basic but so so yummy! Especially with the baby around I could just quickly whip it up and eat it one-handed! Perfect!
What is the biggest thing you learned in the 8 weeks?
Control. This was major! On Hypoxi days the low carb rules and time frames were so helpful in keeping me on track and making sure I made good food choices which, in turn, motivated me on my non Hypoxi days as I didn’t want to ruin any progress that I might have made!
Would you do it again?
ABSOLUTELY! I still haven’t completely recovered from having Bub and although I was quite fit pre-baby, I had to stop exercising halfway through my pregnancy and still get quite sore from a normal gym session. This is why Hypoxi was an absolute godsend. I got such a great outcome but from such little effort, it’s actually amazing!
