Drinking pure water every day is a key component of optimal health. Unfortunately, many make the mistake of forgoing water for other types of fluids, most of which have added ingredients that will not do your health any favours.

It’s important to recognize that your body loses water throughout each day, even when you’re not sweating, and that you need to constantly replenish this fluid loss. But especially when you exercise, you need to stay hydrated. We recommend to our clients to drink at least 2-3 litres of water every day (the general guide is about 40ml per kilogram of your body weight). At our studios, we experience people who don’t drink enough or are not choosing the best drinks for their bodies.

Sweet soda and energy drinks, for example, are high in caffeine, which acts as a diuretic that will actually dehydrate you, so they’re a terrible choice for quenching your thirst.
